Fires across the North Bay ravaged for more than two weeks, leaving homes, schools, businesses and much more destroyed. With the fires now contained, there is much rebuilding to do in local communities. Several businesses are looking for volunteers. PUC students can help by volunteering at these 15 places that are in need of serious help.
Petaluma Fairgrounds. The fairgrounds are now a makeshift home for evacuees. Volunteers are needed in all shifts. 175 Fairgrounds Dr., Petaluma, CA 94952.
Napa Community Animal Response Team. Helping animals that have been impacted by the fires.
Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds (Franklin Hall). Currently hosting evacuees with no place to go and is looking for volunteers. 442 Franklin Ave, Yuba City, CA 95991.
Redwood Empire Food Bank, a hunger relief shelter looking for volunteers during the day. 3990 Brickway Blvd, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
Red Cross. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help recently displaced fire victims. 1300 Alberta Way, Concord, CA 94521.

Napa County Animal shelter will shelter missing animals. It also is looking for volunteers who can foster some pets as the shelter fills up. 942 Hartle Ct, Napa, CA 94559.
Pets Lifeline Animal Shelter is taking small pets and is looking for volunteers.
